Aeris Gainsborough (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

"Young, beautiful, and somewhat mysterious, Aeris met Cloud while selling flowers on the streets of Midgar." Aeris (a mistranslation of "Aerith"), lives in the Sector 5 slums in Midgar, where she sells flowers. One day, while she was selling flowers, Cloud crosses her path. At that moment she sensed something special about this stranger, and since that day she has been thinking about him until fate would bring them back together again. Persona: Aeris is the optimistic one in your party; you will rarely find anything but a smile on her face. She has a strong persona, but behind her never fading smile is a mystery just waiting to be unveiled. Battle Strength: Aeris is a weak physical fighter, but an excellent mage. Her limit breaks consist mostly of healing and defensive abilities, so her best use would be to fight using magic, or be the healer in battles. Goal: Her true goal will always be a mystery. It would look like she is driven by something that even she herself is unable to understand, but her spontanious nature seems to make her live her life to the fullest. Barret Wallace (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

"Head of the underground resistance movement AVALANCHE, Barret depends on brute strength and his 'Gun-arm' to see him through." Barret is the leader of the rebel group AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was first founded at a remote place called Cosmo Cannyon. After a tragic accident brought on by Shinra, Barret adopted a girl named Marlene and swore that she wouldn't grow in the same state as the world is in. Barret and his friends re-founded AVALANCHE in the city of Midgar where he tries to stop the evil coporation Shinra. Persona: Barret is very loud and takes the leader role with no hesitation. But his impatience sometimes causes him to come to rash decisions which can make things a bit troublesome at times. Battle strength: Barret uses an automatic gun which is velded to his right arm, and has a good deal of physical strength which makes him a good fighter. He will receive several guns that has long range, so by moving him back will half the damage given by enemies and yet still makes him give the same amount of damage to the enemies. Goal: With Marlene's future as motivation, Barret wants to destroy Shinra and their way to obtain energy since it's slowly killing the planet.

Cait Sith (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

"Cait Sith rides on the back of a huge stuffed Mog he magically brought to life." Cait Sith is a cat sitting on a toy Moogle. He spends his time at an amusement park, telling the future for people who pass him by. There isn't much background on this character, but his persistent attitude got him to join your team. Persona: He is a very determined fellow. He can seem a bit suspicious, but is helpful in his own way. Weapon: His weapon is the Megaphone. His limit break is all about luck, he can be extremely powerful, wipe out any oponment that you may have, but he may wipe out your whole team as well forcing you to restart the game. Goal: His first goal is to find out the meaning to the fortune he gave Cloud, but things seem to change for him, and gives him new priorities.

Cid Highwind (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Height : 5'8
Weapon : Spear

"Cid is a tough talking, warm-hearted old pilot who hasn't forgotten his dreams." Cid is a machine fanatic. He can drive any machine that you can lay before him. He lives in Rocket Town, and was a former employee at Shinra when they had a project to travel to outerspace. This was Cid's life long dream to travel to a place where no other man has been to before, but something happned and the trip was cancelled. Ever since, Cid has been living in that town, just waiting for Shinra to re-open the space program. Persona: Cid is very outspoken and seems very comfortable in his own skin. He never seems to think over what he says and really doesn't seem to care either. He is ambitious, and loves only his machines. Weapon: Cid uses his mighty spear to deal with any enemy. He is a character with pretty equal statistics, so you can use him for whatever suits your needs. Goal: His one and only goal in life is to get to outerspace, even though it might cost him his life. He only wants to ride on anything he can get his hands on, and he predicted that with Cloud, he would get to drive something unusual. Refusing to listen to objections, he joins Cloud and the gang.

Cloud Strife (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Height : 5'7
Weapon : Sword

"Originally a member of SOLDIER, he is now a mercenary who will take any job." Cloud is the main character of this story. His adventure with you starts as a member of a rebel group called AVALANCHE. He is paid to join them fighting a evil cooperation called Shinra. Persona: Cloud has a cold exterior and keeps very much to himself. He can be a bit crude at times, but a character never can hate. Battle strength: He wields an enormous sword (Buster sword), which gives much physical strength in battles. His statistics make him a good fighter, but can also do some good damage with magic. However, physical damage is his strong point. Goal: Cloud's main goal is pursuing his nemesis, Sephiroth, which also involves saving the Planet. Cloud's main motive in the game is to get revenge from all the pain that was caused to him, and his friends, by Sephiroth.

Red Xlll (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

"Just as his name implies, he is an animal with fire-red fur. But under his fierce exterior is an intelligence surpassing that of any human's." Red XIII (or Nanaki, which is his birth name) joins your party when Cloud saves him from the clutches of a mad scientist named Hojo. Nanaki, who was kidnapped, can now only think of his grandfather who has no-one to defend him and the little town of Cosmo Canyon that he comes from. He joins Cloud in hope to find his way back to his home. Persona: Nanaki is very quiet, and seems to be in thought all the time and only speaks when he needs to. Honor is very important to him, to show strength and courage at all times. Battle strength: Nanaki uses a head dress to give a extra punch to enemies. He has good defence-related limit breaks, and has pretty good physical strength. Goal: His goal would be to prove himself and those of his hometown. To show true strength and prove that everyone can trust in him that, he can protect everyone unlike his father.

Tifa Lockhart (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Birth date : May 3rd
Height : 5'4
Weapon : Gloves

"Bright and optimistic, Tifa always cheers up the others when they're down." Tifa was born and raised in the small mountain town of Nibelheim. At a young age, she lost both her mother and father. She headed for the city of Midgar where she now owns a pub called 7th Heaven. This bar happens to be the secret base of the rebel group AVALANCHE. Persona:A very caring person, she would never hurt anyone's feelings and dislikes confrontations and arguments. Battle strength: Tifa uses her fists to beat any enemy. All of her attacks are based on punches and kicks, and is best used as a fighter. Goal: By losing her parents at a early age, she seem to be looking for someone to love and to be loved. She goes where her friends go, no matter what dangers they may face. Being with loved ones seem to be the most important thing for her, and make sure they don't get themselves hurt.

Vincent Valentine (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Birth date : Oct 13th
Height : 6'0
Weapon : Gun

"A mystical man, stern and upright while at the same time dark and mysterious." Vincent is a very mysterious person with a well hidden past. Consumed with nightmares at all times, he joins Cloud in hope to maybe justify his past failures and risk living with more nightmares for all eternity. Persona: Always quiet and says very little, but when he talks, it's always something that needs to be said. Well respected by the group, he seem to fit perfectly in although the others wish he could talk a little bit more. He doesn't seem to let anything change his determined mind. Battle strength: With his gun, he can be your best fighter or your weakest. By training him in the correct way, he can be extremely useful in a battle. His limit break makes him transform to several differnt monsters, but the downside to this is that he will be out of your control until the battle is over or if he gets KO'd, where he will change back to his normal self, leaving him in your control if you revive him. Goal: His main goal is to make up for past mistakes. By hunting down Sephiroth with Cloud may just be the thing that saves him from living with constant nightmares, and hopefully by that get forgiveness and ease his burdened mind.

Yuffie Kisaragi (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Birth date : Nov 16th
Height : 5'2
Weapon : Shuriken

"Although you'd never know it by looking at her, Yuffie comes from a long line of Ninja." Yuffie was born on a remote continent in a town called Wutai. Her hometown has been at war with Shinra for a long time, but was defeated by the huge artillery force from Shinra. She left her town in hope to gain materia so that she and her town maybe one day can fight back Shinra from their peaceful home so it can be theirs alone once again. Persona: Extremely upbeat and cheerful, she has always something to say, but has some secrets which she has minor difficulties hiding. She seems to have taken the role of the little sister of the group, and can be quite a handful when the time is right. Battle strength: she uses her shuriken to throw at her enemies, and is very good with command (yellow) materia, especially steal and morph. Goal: Her main goal is hidden until the time is right, but gains new goals as time goes on. But with Cloud's help she hopes to gain materia and strength to show her home town that she is a true Kisaragi, to show great leadership and is a good asset for her hometown. Hopefully she will get to prove to her father the same thing.
