DARK AEONS

Ordered By:
   Dark Anima

    Dark Anima
Aeon Name : Anima
HP : 8,000,000
Strength : 155
Defense : 230
Magic : 255
Magic Defense : 255
Agility : 183
Luck : 85
Evasion : 0
Accuracy : 255
[Location] Redo the challenge in Mount Gagazet trials (the one where Wakka has to throw the ball into sphere). Then go to the save sphere at the entrance to Mount Gagazet (the airships drop location) and you will find Anima on the right hand side towering above the cliff. Go up to it to initiate battle. [Recommended Battle Strategy] Anima has the highest HP out of the Aeons and is one of the hardest to beat because of the immensely high HP. By the time you even think of taking on Anima you must have the following: Ribbon Amour, Fully Customized Sphere grid with high luck and Maxed out everything else (around 60,000 HP and 999 MP). This is because at this stage the battles are nothing but hard and to do enough damage you will need to be prepared. Also you will need to have 99 Phoenix Downs and as many Mega Phoenix's as you can get and the Auto-Phoenix Ability. You will just need super speed (Auto-Haste it is a gods gift for this long fight) and high strength (this can be shortened by Wakka whose overdrive will do A LOT of damage). You will need relatively high HP as its Mega Graviton attack can actually kill you if you have low HP. It also uses death very often and unfortunately Ribbon doesn't protect against it that is why I recommended that you have Auto-Phoenix and Phoenix down. Use Life to save on phoenix downs from time to time as you will more than likely need to save them. When ever your given the chance use Wakka's overdrive it will make this fight shorter. Tidus's blitz ace can also do a lot of damage especially if his HP is high. So use them two for attacking. Their quick hits will also work wonders and take off 99,999 damage every turn. When Anima is about to use her overdrive quickly change to yuna and use a summon. You may need to sacrifice all of them in this long fight. But keep Yojimbo till last. Use him as your back-up option and if you have no idea how many more hits are needed to Kill Dark Anima and it is about to use its overdrive use Yojimbo and hope for Zanmato. IF you think you've gotten it down to its last million, then I recommend you just use him to block, and then take it down to 0 yourself and get the self satisfaction. However, if you aren't too sure, its best to use Zanmato then spend 20-30 minutes fighting Dark Anima again in another attempt to defeat Dark Anima.

   Dark Bahamut

      Dark Bahamut
Aeon Name : Bahamut
HP : 4,000,000
Strength : 245
Defense : 234
Magic : 222
Magic Defense : 233
Agility : 255
Luck : 102
Evasion : 0
Accuracy : 250
[Location] Dark Bahamut is found guarding the Zanarkand Temple. If you go to where you fought Yunalesca you will be forced to fight Dark Bahamut. [Recommended Battle Strategy] Stoneproof is a must. Dark Bahamuts impulse attack will do around 30,000 damage and also has a chance to turn you to stone. Auto-phoenix is a must. Dark Bahamut's HP is quite high and he isn't a push over. There are two other things that are a MUST which are Auto-Haste and Auto-Protect. These two things will cut the damage he does by a half and give you more goes to defeat him so you spend less turns getting yourself ready to be killed. Wakka is again the most important character as he has one of the highest damaging Overdrives in the Game. Entrust at this point can be a good idea. When his overdrive bar is full he will unleash Mega Flare which not even Auto-life can save you from so its a good idea to use the aeons at that point, the best aeon would be Anima and to use her Overdrive you may be able to do a lot of damage, although Aeons tend to do little damage to Dark Aeons. You'll be lucky to do 500,000 damage against Bahamut with Anima's Overdrive (it should do around 2.5million damage against an ordinary enemy). Grand Summon is a BAD idea, your Aeon will be toast the next move and Aeons also tend to increase their overdrive Gauges even more. Use Quick Hit to attack multiple times. If you have max strength you should do around 99,999 damage with each normal hit.

   Dark Ifrit

         Dark Ifrit
Aeon Name : Ifrit
HP : 1,400,000
Strength : 220
Defense : 173
Magic : 177
Magic Defense : 163
Agility : 124
Luck : 27
Evasion : 8
Accuracy : 230
[Location] Go to Bikenel Island and go all the way north to where HOME was. Talk to the guy and he will tell you that he has last his child. Agree to search and the man and Dark Ifrit will attack you whilst your out looking for the Child. [Recommended Battle Strategy] Ifrit isn't too hard to beat, remember to equip Fire Eater armor, as sometimes he uses fire elemental abilities which can heal you. Try to get Wakka in your team and make sure you've trained him up more so than before and use his overdrive when you can. Its a good idea to set the overdrive gauge to Comrade as your likely to loose a lot of health. Two- three Attack Reels should do the trick, and if you can also use Tidus's Blitz Ace. Use Haste to make quick work of Ifrit.

Item id #1759
   Dark Ixion

        Dark Ixion
Aeon Name : Ixion
HP : 1,200,000
Strength : 176
Defense : 220
Magic : 133
Magic Defense : 188
Agility : 180
Luck : 36
Evasion : 0
Accuracy : 250
[Location] Go to the Thunder Plains. Just below the save sphere in the middle of the thunderplains you'll find a man. Talk to him and he will run, run after him and he will attack along with a Dark Ixion. After winning this battle you need to play a sort of mini-game. When the lightning hits Dark Ixion will appear somewhere, when it hits again Dark Ixion will move. Get it the second time and beat it and you will have defeated Dark Ixion. [Recommended Battle Strategy] The ability needed for Dark Ixion is Sleepproof as Dark Ixions normal attacks cause Sleep. Dark Ixion will use an attack called Thundaja however it cannot be blocked even with a Lightning Eater. Both fights are relatively easy. The first form is faster and will get more attacks in so auto phoenix is a must. Once its Overdrive is full it will cast Aero spark. Cast haste on the party as soon as you can and just keep attacking. Use all you overdrives on it if you need to. Once the battle is over you can save the game and then start the search for the second battle. The second form is very slow and so if you cast Hastega on your party you will get a lot of hits in (its best to use the recommended armor). Use hits that will definitely hit. Use Wakka's overdrive to make quick work of Dark Ixion's second form and beware of its overdrive as it will use Thor's Hammer this time.

   Dark Magus Sisters

   Dark Magus Sisters
Aeon Name : Magus Sisters
HP : 7,500,000
Strength : 186
Defense : 233
Magic : 248
Magic Defense : 168
Agility : 233
Luck : 130
Evasion : 240
Accuracy : 255
[Location] Mushroom Rock Road, to the south of the turning leading to the valley [Note] You can fight the Magus Sisters One At a time or all together, it is generally easier to fight them one by one, but I shall give you the technique with which you can defeat them on their own and all together. To view the method to beat the Magus Sisters one by one click [here] [Recommended Battle Strategy] The Magus Sisters are EXTREMELY difficult to beat and WILL require max everything, even then it is a fairly hard battle. The Magus sisters when starting usually start of with a Delta attack which not even Auto-Life can protect you from, and so its a good idea that when facing the Magus Sisters you have Auron in your party and change to an Aeon (Preferably Anima who can do a lot of damage) and use its overdrive. If it uses Delta Attack you will be safe. Now the first order of business is to get one of them out the way. This has to be Mindy first as her Passodo attack as well as doing A LOT of damage, it causes Death on your characters which Ribbon does not protect you against. Defeating her isn't too hard, all you have to do is just use Quick Hits and when available use Wakka's overdrive. Use the Auto-phoenix ability revive characters and watch out as there are 2 other dark aeons attacking you at the same time. Once she is taken care of you can change your focus to Dark Sandy. Without the need to worry about the Delta Attack you can relax a little bit, however do note that when their overdrive gauge is full, they will use Mega Graviton instead like Anima does. So having high HP is needed. Heal after every time they attack, and use Quick Hits followed by Overdrives to make quick work of the Sandy. Note that Sandy's Razzia attack will dispel any Auto-life you have set up and reduce your defense. Try to keep your HP up and use your aeons if you don't think you can survive their overdrives. That way you can do damage to both of them. When Sandy is finally defeated, you only have Cindy to beat. She has the highest HP but hopefully you'll have taken off around 400,000 HP from the overdrive attacks. You can relax even more now, just keep one character constantly healing your characters and have the others constantly attacking. Each of the attacks will do around 99,999 damage and so it shouldn't take to long to defeat Cindy on her own. [To get them Alone] When you first encounter all 3 of them run to the left straight away and into the next screen which is Mushroom Rock road. Here, take the glyph lift up to the next level and you will told about he game. Basically what you have to do is run away from the 3 sisters. If you manage to get about half way then the fat sister will drop out of the chase, and you will only have to fight the other 2. If you manage to make it all the way to the precipice then you can fight them one by one.

   Dark Shiva

       Dark Shiva
Aeon Name : Shiva
HP : 1,100,000
Strength : 173
Defense : 163
Magic : 244
Magic Defense : 255
Agility : 255
Luck : 73
Evasion : 0
Accuracy : 250
[Location] Dark Shiva is at the entrance to the Macalania Temple, after beating Dark Shiva you will be attacked by the Guado until you exit the screen. [Recommended Battle Strategy] If not prepared, she will have MANY attacks before you can even get a turn. Shiva's agility is Max and so she can do some great damage and fast. Its recommended that you have fully customized your sphere grid by now and that you have on the armor that I have recommended, or at least an armor which has Auto-Haste. Always remember that even if your Accuracy is max, you will miss if your LUCK isn't higher than hers. All this being said, she doesn't have much HP and so if your able to get hits in, don't waste it, use Overdrives and go all out as soon as you can. You probably wont get another chance. Always have at least one character with Auto-Phoenix. If you can get a few turns in a row, you can use Wakka and Tidus's overdrives killing her quickly and efficiently. Also make sure that you heal yourself after she's attacked as you wont get a chance after you've attacked.

Item id #1763
   Dark Valefor

          Dark Valefor
Aeon Name : Valefor
HP : 800,000
Strength : 148
Defense : 120
Magic : 186
Magic Defense : 220
Agility : 105
Luck : 48
Evasion : 10
Accuracy : 250
[Location] Besaid Village, go to besaid and head towards the temple, just before the entrance to the village you should be stopped by a Bevelle Priest and Dark Valefor. [Recommended Battle Strategy] This is fairly easy as he doesn't have much HP. Make sure that you have Wakka and his Attack Reels and get 3 2's in a row and it should kill him if your strong enough. If you've bothered to customize the sphere grid at all, this will be even easier. It may take a few Attack Reels to kill him, so just use Entrust and give Wakka your overdrive gauge so he can have another shot.

Item id #1756
   Dark Yojimbo

     Dark Yojimbo
Aeon Name : Yojimbo
HP : 1,600,000
Strength : 244
Defense : 210
Magic : 131
Magic Defense : 144
Agility : 243
Luck : 114
Evasion : 0
Accuracy : 255
[Location] In Yojimbo's cavern (cavern of the Stolen Faith), go right inside, he is just after the save point. You will have to defeat him 5 times to defeat him. However you can save the game in between, but if you reset the game then you will have to start all over. He moves around the cave once you've defeated him. [Recommended Battle Strategy] At this point you should have customized most if not all your sphere grid for a proper chance to defeat Yojimbo. He is not as hard as he seems and it only takes 4 attacks to beat him if properly powered up (Max Strength and Magic). His Luck is high so if you want to attack him you will need high luck. Wakka's attacks can do 33,333 damage to him each turn 12 times, and so after 3 overdrives he will be tired. Always remember to set the Overdrive to Comrade if you want to quickly regain your overdrive. Entrust is again the KEY to beating Yojimbo as you will need it to get 3 overdrives in quickly. After that a simple Doublecast of Ultima should do the job. Remember use overdrives later, heal your characters first. Keep Protect and Haste on your characters at all time and you need stone proof. Its best to have Auto-Haste and Auto-protect as Dark Yojimbo's Kozuko attack will also cause Full break which will need to be dispelled quickly or his next attack will do 99,999 damage (50,000 with Protect). Stoneproof is a must as when his dog attacks it will petrify your characters. There are two types of wakisashi he uses, but both are deadly, they will do around 30,000 HP damage if you don't have Protect on your characters. Heal every time he uses Wakazashi and then retaliate with Overdrives. When he is about to use his overdrive USE AN AEON TO BLOCK, it will do 99,999 damage regardless of Protect, Zanmato is the ultimate attack and can kill anything and anyone. Defeating him once is not enough you will need to do it again and again up to 5 times. Its a good idea to save and heal before going to the next fight, and also make sure that Auron is on your team when you start a fight as he will usually ambush you. You can simply just change from their. Just follow the above strategy and defeat him all 5 times, although the 5th time he seems to be a tad bit better and can do serious harm if your not prepared. Yojimbo can be very easy if you are prepared before hand and you follow the above steps. I have personally beaten him around 200 times using the above strategy (no this is not an exaggeration). If you want ribbon armor and no Dark Aeons are dropping them then just focus your energy on Dark Yojimbo as an overkill will make him drop 2 Dark Matters as a normal drop. You will need 99 of them to add ribbon to the armor, but you may also find some good armor that he drops. He will also sometimes drop Ribbon and Break HP Limit armor with 2 extra slots (which are the best ones) which should be equipped ASAP. Keep beating Yojimbo and get as many Dark Matters as you can before going on to Anima and the Magus Sisters. Penance will be impossible without the Ribbon Armours.

Item id #1762
  Penance

Penance
Aeon Name : Penance
HP : 12,000,000
Strength : 148
Defense : 187
Magic : 248
Magic Defense : 132
Agility : 233
Luck : 130
Evasion : 240
Accuracy : 255
[Location] After defeating all of the Dark Aeons go to the airship and talk to Cid. Go to the destination chooser and you will see that Penance has opened up as a new destination. Select it and you can fight him. You will be on the airship fighting him and his arms. You can run from battle but when you return he will have full health again. [Recommended Battle Strategy] The Below strategy is credited to Dark Penance Have the following characters: Rikku, Wakka, Tidus, Kimahri or Auron (choose 2) Have Rikku in Overdrive-ready state and prepare 2 Gambler Spirits. Equip an armour with the following abilities: Auto-Haste Auto-Protect Auto-Potion Def. + 20% and one more thing stock lots of Potion. Since you have Auto-Haste, you should get 6-7 turns first. Have Rikku mix the 2 Gambler Spirits, yielding to "trio-of-9999." Then aim for the arms, the arms will take 6 turns to kill. Once you've killed one arm, Penance would use Obliteration. Normally this would deal 11,000+ damage to all characters ] even with Protect but since, you have Def. + 20%, it should be reduced into 9,000+. Don't worry about your health because Auto-Potion is there for that. With "trio-of-9999", potions become X-Potions. Use Cheer for 5 times (even at maxed stats Cheer takes effect). This would reduce Obliteration to only 6,000-7,000 damage. On your next turns keep Quick Hitting the arms. He should regen them after a while. Give priority in killing the arms rather than the body. When both arms are gone, that's the time you attack the body. Never let the arms get a single shot on you because they will do more damage than the body itself. Repeat this cycle and after you deal 3,000,000 damage, his lower half gets destroyed and the second half of the battle begins. *Please take note that during his first form, Penance has Auto-Protect.* The second half would be a little different. This time, he'll use Immolation instead on Obliteration. Immolation deals more damage, normally 15,000+ to one character even with Protect status. With Def. + 20% and Cheer, it would only deal 9,000+ damage which you'll most likely survive. However, take note that Immolation also inflicts Curse and Full Break to one character and siphons all MP. Three Stars is helpful here. Just use Dispel whenever you get hit by Immolation. This round, you should be more aware of the arms because once Penance gets a turn with both of his arms present, he'll unleash Judgment Day. As said before, focus on the arms. After 40 minutes or so, Penance's attacks tend to slow down. This is the signal that he's weakening. Just repeat this process and you're on your way to victory
