Introduction
We have detected a reaction from an attack mako stone in the wasteland northeast of Cosmo Canyon. You will most likely encounter monsters in the area. Use caution as you make your way to the mako stone.

Chests
- Phoenix Down (center)
- X-Potion (north)
Strategy
Follow the path and grab the valuable Phoenix Down chest. At the intersection, continue north to find the X-Potion chest. Return to the intersection and proceed to the east to find the boss. Before engaging, equip your best Fire materia and be prepared to battle poison. Slaps is resistent to physical attacks, so use that Fire magic to destroy it.
