Alruane King is a boss fight from Final Fantasy XII. It is part of a group fight with The Mandragoras which includes Mandragora Prince, Onion Queen, Pumpkin Star, and Topstalk.

Strategy
Don’t be fooled by their size. When the battle begins, these little guys will scatter. They all have Haste cast on them, making them fast and hard to catch. You can Dispel them if you want, but you also may want to save your MP for curing and Quickenings. They have some serious combo attacks when they’re together, so they can be tough. They each have their own weakness, but that is completely useless in this fight. This battle will be all over the place, so hold the R2 button and run around until these plants get together and start chasing you. They’ll be in a straight line, and this is when you want to use a Quickening chain. They’ll all attack together, then scatter again when you damage them in order to heal. Now is the time to start chasing the survivors of the Quickening and attack. They’ll keep trying to run away, but just chase them down until you finish them.
