Ba'Gamnan is a character from the Final Fantasy XII series. His role is that of a headhunter in search of Balthier, and the bounty he'll fetch for capturing him. He is voiced by Steve Blum in the English version, who also provides the voice for Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy XII

Ba'Gamnan and his crew are first introduced in Rabanastre searching for Balthier, expecting to collect the bounty on his head. They arrive in Nalbina Dungeons upon hearing that they have been captured, where the player learns that Ba'Gamnan and his henchmen have free reign to find Balthier at the permission of Judge Gabranth. Balthier, however, is already making his escape as Ba’Gamnan searches for him.

When Vaan is captured by the Empire, along with Balthier and Fran, Penelo attempts to stop them from taking Vaan. Balthier intercepts her, assuring Penelo that Vaan will return safely. This small interaction between Balthier and Penelo is witnessed by Ba'Gamnan, making him think that the two have a deeper connection. Ba'Gamnan kidnaps Penelo with the intent to use her as bait. Balthier agrees to rescue Penelo and the party heads to Lhusu Mines. There Ba'Gamnan and his crew ambush Balthier and his comrades. Depending on the player's actions, either the party escapes or they fight and defeat the Bangaa troupe.

When the player learns that hunters have recently gone missing while out on hunts, Montblanc posts a fake hunt for Belito, hoping to lure the culprit. Upon reaching the Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Ba'Gamnan and crew reveal themselves as the perpetrators. After defeating the group, Ba'Gamnan falls into the sandsea, assumed to have been killed.

Observations

Being a bangaa headhunter, intent on capturing the sky pirate Balthier.

Vicious and cruel, he will do anything to claim a bounty, not hesitating for a moment to dirty his own hands.

Though Ba'Gamnan is guilty of more than enough to deserve a price on his own head, his unofficial role as Judge Gabranth's dark hand ensures his good name with the law.

His three henchmen are, if anything, crueler and more lacking in mores than he, were that possible.

Ba'Gamnan's Henchmen

Big, strong, and never pushed aside until he's squeezed the last scream out of a captive is Gijuk.

No less despicable is the shady Bwagi, a relentless and sadistic hunter of men.

Lastly, Rinok gives a female touch to Ba'Gamnan's motley crew, yet if one were expecting to find a kind and gentle nature here, one would be sorely, nay, agonizingly disappointed.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings

Ba'Gamnan returns in this game as a briefly playable character under the control of Vaan's group.
