Baralai is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy X-2. He is the leader of New Yevon, the faction that has sprung from the remains of Yevon and Sin. Where Yevon were holders of secrets and no stranger to deception, New Yevon is viewed with distrust by some, and blind faith by others. He replaced the former chairman of New Yevon, Trema. Baralai may just be at the core of any new secrets swirling around New Yevon. Prior to the events of the game, Baralai was a candidate for the Crimson Squad along with Nooj and Gippal. A special sphere also shows Baralai had sought help from Seymour just before Seymour proposed to Yuna. Later in the game, Shuyin leaves Nooj and possesses Baralai and takes him to the Farplane. When the Gullwings defeat Shuyin and Vegnagun, Baralai, Gippal, and Nooj realize the error of their ways and seek peace for Spira once again.

Baralai is first fought as a boss in Chapter 2 in Bevelle. His "Drill Shot" attack can be learned as a Blue Bullet ability.

Den of Woe

Baralai is also fought in Chapter 5 inside the Den of Woe. His "Absorb" ability can be learned as a Blue Bullet.
