Brother is a non-playable character that appears in Final Fantasy X & X-2.

Final Fantasy X

Brother doesn't have a large part in the game except you can use him as player in blitzball and he pilots the airship. He is actually Rikku's brother, and Cid is both his and Rikku's father. He is hard to understand because he cannot speak English fluently until X-2.

Brother is the head of the salvage barge that saves Tidus's life in the beginning of X. After Sin attacks the ship, he isn't seen until the bombing of Home, where he is told by his father to "quit cryin'!". When Tidus and company are heading out to defeat Sin, he speaks in (broken) English for the first time, asking Tidus to take care of his little sister.

Blitzball

Brother is a free agent blitzball player, and is located on the bridge of the airship. He can be recruited for 210 gil per match.

Final Fantasy X-2

Brother is the leader of the Gullwings and pilot of the Celsius with a pronounced crush on Yuna. He's usually there for comic relief, typically being assaulted by Rikku and Buddy whenever he makes advances towards Yuna. Chapter 5 of X-2 focuses on the relationship between Brother and Cid. We're never told what caused a falling out between the two, but they semi-resolve after Cid is forced to apologize to him: Brother wouldn't let his father aboard the airship until he did.

Love for Yuna

Fans tend to ridicule Brother's love for Yuna because they are related (Yuna's mother was Cid's younger sister, making them cousins by blood). His shipmates also look down on his crush not because they are related, but because they know Yuna love Tidus, not Brother. At the end of X-2, he realizes that her prefers the Yuna from X, who was more delicate and lady-like, than the new headstrong X-2 Yuna.
