From Final Fantasy - Wiki on Neoseeker
Calm Lands are a vast open grasslands in Spira from the Final Fantasy X series.
Arriving at the Calm Lands, the party learns that many summoners battled and defeated Sin, bringing the calm - thus the name Calm Lands.
There is a small rest area and shop at the center of the Calm Lands. To the east is a small path that leads to the Monster Arena. A secret area, available only with a chocobo, hides Remiem Temple where the unsent Belgemine resides. At the northern base of the Calm Lands is the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth where the aeon Yojimbo can be found.

The geography of the Calm Lands remains the same, but now there are competing agencies offering mini-games. The Monster Arena has been abandoned and if the player allowed Clasko onto the airship, he will set up the Chocobo Ranch on the east side of the Calm Lands.
