Crawler is an enemy in the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy VII

Crawler appears in Mythril Mine.

Weakness: Earth

Half Damage: Ice

Attacks: Bite, Cold Breath

Drop: Potion

Final Fantasy X

Crawler is a boss enemy that Brother and the Al Bhed unleash on the party at Lake Macalania. It drops weapons with Piercing, Firestrike, Lightningstrike, Waterstrike, Icestrike, or Alchemy abilities, and armor with Fire Ward, Lightning Ward, Water Ward, or Ice Ward.

Attacks: Negator, Assault, Gatling Gun, Mana Beam

Weakness: Thunder

Half Damage: Fire, Water, Ice, Holy

Immune: Silence, Poison, Sleep, Doom, Threaten, Provoke, Power Break, Armor Break, Darkness, Petrify, Zombie, Death, Magic Break, Mental Break, Eject

Zanmato Level: 4

Steal: Lunar Curtain

Drop: Elixir

Strategy

This battle requires Wakka. To start, have Lulu, Tidus, and Wakka on. Have Wakka attack the Negator, which blocks magic, and have Lulu cast Reflex and Tidus use Haste on Wakka and use Cheer. Once the Negator is dead swap Tidus for Yuna and have Wakka replaced with your strongest character, unless he is. Have Yuna cast Protect and Shell if she has it, if not then keep Tidus on. Also as soon as the negator is destroyed have Lulu cast the best thunder spell she can, Thundara or Thundaga preferred. Crawler will start charging for its attack Mana Beam. When it starts charging you want your highest HP character on. If you damage it enough whilst its charging it will stop and not do Mana Beam. However, if it does, it hits high and hits everyone. It also produces a new negator, blocking magic again so you will need to bring out Wakka to kill it again, also you will most probably want to heal everyone. Just keep killing the Negator, attacking with Thunder and surviving the Mana Beam until the Crawler is dead.
