Elder Wyrm is a boss fight from Final Fantasy XII that is located in Golmore Jungle.

Stats

Weakness: Aero

Steal: Succulent Fruit, Feystone, Ring Wyrm Scale

Strategy

Elder Wyrm likes to inflict some of those awful status effects with its Sporefall attack. Protect against what you can, cast Esuna on your partymates, and remove Oil with Handkerchief. Keep Esuna as someone's top gambit, and make sure the use of a Handkerchief is on there as well because Elder Wyrm will throw Fireballs at you. Keep your members separated to keep at least one or two safe from area attacks. Elder Wyrm comes with two Treants, so defeat them immediately so you can focus on the boss. You can do a lot of damage to them with a Quickening chain while doing damage to the Greater Dragon. If you feel overwhelmed by status effects, feel free to switch out party members as necessary. Just know that your reserve members will still be under those effects should you need them later.

Guardian beasts of the forests, and the most ancient of the dragons in Ivalice.

Though they perished several thousands of years ago, the living things of the wood grew in them, giving them nourishment and counteracting the corruption of their flesh until they stood once more.

So they share body and soul with the wood, and suffer no intruders within its boundaries.
