Strategy
Start the battle with Vital Slash, then use your best magic (Hell or Tri) on Sephiroth. Like before, he will appear and disappear all over the field, and you’ll probably only get off one or two hits in between his disappearing act. He also uses Heartless Angel in this battle as well, which reduces your HP to only 1. Be ready with an X-Potion or similar item (don’t waste time with healing magic as it may take too long to cast). Eventually, he will summon the materia, so switch your focus on them with regular attacks. They’ll go down fairly quickly without presenting too much of a threat. Resume your assault on Sephiroth with your magic casting from afar, and heal as necessary. Use another Vital Slash if you feel Sephiroth is overwhelming you with his chain attacks. When Sephiroth prepares Draw Slash, set yourself behind him. Draw Slash is an area attack that only extends in front of him (you likely can’t get out of its long reach even if you’re far in front of him).
