LOCATION: Paramina Rift/Silverflow’s End

Petitioner: Ieeha (Mt Bur-Omisace/Temple Approach)

Reward: 7000 gil, Assassin’s Arrows, Teleport Stone

Absorbs: Ice

Weakness: Thunder

1/2 Damage: Fire, Earth, Water, Aero, Holy, Dark

Steal: Pebble, Hi-Potion, Ring Wyrm Scale

Strategy

Fafnir will only appear in a blizzard, so you may have to exit and re-enter the area a couple of times for the right weather. Equip Mirror Mails or Bubble Belts on your party. This mark likes to inflict status effects including Silence, Stop, and Sleep. Protect against these and bring items to cure them. Immediately cast Dispel on Fafnir to remove Bravery, and cast Protect on your own party members. You'll have to cast Bubble as well if you don't own the right equipment. Use physical attacks and thunder-based magick. Keep your members separated to avoid them getting hit at the same time, and continue to heal as necessary. When Fafnir’s HP reaches half, it will start casting Shock which deals a few thousand points worth of damage. Make sure Shell is in effect and use the landscape to hide from the spell. After Fafnir’s HP drops to critical levels, it will get faster and use White Breath even more. Stay healed and finish it off with a Quickening chain.

Once, seeking the Relics of the Dynast-King kept in the Stilshrine of Miriam, did it challenge the Gran Kiltias Anastasis Himself, but was defeated, being then secured in the Depths of Paramina Rift. Most unforunately, with the Gran Kiltias' Passing, its Bonds failed and it attacked Mt Bur-Omisace.

One of the Devout, seeking Aid, posted a Bill for this Mark.
