Background

A village protected by a crystal's light, forever in it's glow. But that glow weakens every few years, and in turn, someone is chosen as the collector of Myrrh, the crystal's lifeforce. You are that person. Let your destiny guide you to far-off lands, all the while bringing the Myrrh chalice with you, and collecting what little Myrrh remains in the Myrrh trees spread throughout the world.

But be warned. The outside world is dangerous, full of monsters and a poisonous air that only the chalice's light can protect you from. Your only companion shall be a Moogle that will carry the chalice when you are in battle.
