Final Fantasy Agito XIII is one of the newest installments in the Final Fantasy franchise coming to the Playstation Portable as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation. Square Enix is currently working on this game and has released little information about it.

Plot

The game will centre around a group of students who attend a magic academy named Akademia. A Crystal can be seen in a screenshot of the game although its role is still unknown.

Gameplay

The game will also utilize CG cutscenes, but no detailed information has been released as this game is currently in production.

The apparent protagonist of Agito

The cast of Agito consists of 12 youths who attend a magic academy. They each seem to possess a different ability and all appear to be wielding individual weapons including a longsword, a katana, handguns, a shotgun, a mace, a bow and arrow, a spear, a scythe, an extending flail, bare fists, a flute, and a deck of Tarot cards. The character weilding the deck of Tarot cards appears to have a greater importance than the other characters and is also depicted in a greater number of concept arts and screenshots.

Additional Information

Originally slated to be released for mobile phones, Square Enix announced the decision to move the game exclusively to the PSP platform.
