Gongaga is a small village from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII that is located on the southern edge of the western continent. It is also the hometown of Zack Fair. There are some shops and an inn here as well.


Final Fantasy VII

There is a burnt-out Mako Reactor here, the explosion of which killed many of the residents. The party also meets Zack’s parents and learns that Aeris Gainsborough once dated Zack.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

Zack learns of the Mako Reactor explosion that happened while he was being used as an experiment. This is the only time Zack visits his hometown, even though he and Cloud are on the run from Shinra. Because of the presence of the Turks, however, he is unable to enter.
