Hashmal is a Earth Elemental Esper from Final Fantasy XII. Hashmal has two attacks:

• Roxxor (Deals Earth Damage)
• Terrestrial Rage/Gaia's Wrath (Deathblow)

Hashmal will only use his Deathblow if the summoners health is in the critical (red).

Boss Fight

Hashmal will show up within the storyline as a boss fight at the Pharos at Ridorana. He’ll join you as an Esper once you defeat him.

Weakness: Aero

Steal: Leo Gem, Hi-Ether, High Arcana

Strategy

Hashmal will cast Slow and Disease on your party, so protect against them if you can or be ready with the appropriate gambits to cure them. As always, start the battle by casting Dispel on Hashmal, and cast Haste, Protect, and Float on your party. When Hashmal’s HP gets down to about 25%, he’ll unleash a powerful Earth-based area spell, so make sure to keep up with Float. If you don’t have Float available, you’ll have to keep everyone’s HP high to survive the attack. He’ll eventually cast a magick barrier making him immune from magick attacks. Take this time to heal your characters as needed until the shield disappears.
