We now have information on monsters in the coal mines carrying precious items. This will be processed as part of the item search program. Go to the mines now and obtain the items.

- Gold Armlet (southeast)
- Flame Armlet (center)
[edit] Strategy
Make sure to equip a Safety Bit in order to protect against Death, cast by the Demons. From the starting point, face west to grab the Mythril chest. Then follow the path to the intersection and take the western path for the Fat Chocobo Feather. Backtrack all the way east and around the bend, taking the Adamantite chest. At the next intersection, continue south if you want the Gold Armlet. Return to the intersection and take the western path. The Flame Armlet is in the little cove to the north and the boss is further west. Use a Firaga spell on each of the Hornets. Boundfats will absorb fire, but it doesn’t matter if this is your first action. Once the Hornets are gone, use regular critical attacks on the Boundfats to complete the mission.
