Jecht is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy X. He is Tidus' father who was thought to be dead ten years prior.

Final Fantasy X

During Yuna's pilgrimage, the party learns that Jecht, like Tidus, was taken to Spira. He became Braska's guardian along with Auron. During the pilgrimage, Jecht attacks a Shoopuuf in a drunken rant. Ashamed of what he has done, and the fact that Braska had to pay all of his money for damages, Jecht finally understands what his son had said (he was a heavy alcoholic, and Tidus tried to convince him to quit), Jecht decides to give up alcohol and become a new man. Jecht offered himself to Braska to become the Final Aeon. The party later encounters him inside Sin, where he transforms into Braska's Final Aeon and is defeated.

Final Fantasy X-2

Jecht makes a voice cameo in this game, encouraging Yuna in her fight against Vegnagun and Shuyin.
