Loz is one of the main antagonists of the film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. He, along with Kadaj and Yazoo, makes up the trio of the Remnants of Sephiroth. Throughout the film, like the others, he refers to Jenova as "mother". Loz is meant to represent Sephiroth's strength and emotion toward Jenova. His personality is child-like, often seen or mocked for crying over Jenova.

Loz first appears atop the cliff overlooking Midgar along with Kadaj and Yazoo awaiting Cloud's return. When Cloud arrives, he and Yazoo engage him in battle. Even though they overcome him, they fall back and leave after Kadaj removes the Shadow Creepers.

Loz later heads to the Sector 5 church in search of Jenova only to find Tifa and Marlene. He engages Tifa in hand-to-hand combat as a way to amuse himself. Although it seems that she has defeated him, a phone call from Yazoo sets him back on track. He defeats Tifa easily and as he raises his hand to finish her, Marlene throws a piece of materia at him. He then takes the materia and kidnaps Marlene.

At the Forgotten Capital, Loz clutches Marlene and watches as Kadaj manipulates the children into drinking the tainted water. When Cloud arrives to rescue the children, he joins in the fight, showing off his superior speed and strength. After Cloud is rescued, Loz and Yazoo head to the center of Edge to destroy the monument in search of Jenova. They are stopped, however, by Reno and Rude who engage them in battle. Loz and Yazoo defeat them and escape on their motorcycles after Kadaj comes into possession of Jenova's cells. Cloud pursues them into a tunnel and clashes with Loz and Yazoo. At the end of the tunnel, Reno and Rude await the Remnants with dynamite. Although the outcome of the explosion is not seen, Loz and Yazoo both live to locate Cloud atop a building in Midgar. They attack him with materia and are killed in the resulting explosion.
