The Lucavi are a race of demons that are summoned by the Zodiac Stones. In essence, the power of the stones takes over the body of the user, transforming grotesquely and completely into a beast representing, though loosely, the Zodiac sign of their respective stone.
Throughout the course of the story, Ramza and company encounter a number of characters who summon the power of the Lucavi through the stones, and must face them in order to stop them from wreaking further havoc on Ivalice.
