Montblanc is a reoccurring character in the Ivalice Alliance series. His first appearance was in Final Fantasy XII, where he is the leader of a clan of hunters. Montblanc is one of the six Moogle siblings, the others being Hurdy, Gurdy, Horne, Sorbet, & Nono.

Montblanc is the leader of Clan Centurio, a group of hunters that scour Ivalice for marks. Montblanc is stationed at the clan's headquarters in Rabanastre. While regular marks are listed on Notice Boards around the world, Montblanc alerts Vaan of Elite Marks.

When the player learns that hunters have recently gone missing while out on hunts, Montblanc posts a fake hunt for Belito, hoping to lure the culprit. Upon reaching the Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Ba'Gamnan and crew reveal themselves as the perpetrators.

Later, Montblanc tells Vaan the origins of Clan Centurio. Montblanc and his five siblings were students of a man who taught them the ways of the world. Yiazmat slew the man, however, and Montblanc began the Clan in order to find a warrior strong enough to defeat Yiazmat. And so Montblanc himself posts the bill for the most difficult mark in the game.
