Narshe

Narshe is a town found in Final Fantasy VI. It is the first town the player visits.

Appearance

Narshe appears as a small, snowy town. It is found in the northern continent, and is the second highest town on the world map, surpassed by Kohlingen only. There are numerous caves and mountains around the town, with one of the caves housing both the Moogles and an Esper.

Role in Story

Terra first arrives in the town with Biggs and Wedge, hunting for the Esper. After defeating Ymir and Narshe guards, they find it. Biggs and Wedge disappear while Terra is freed from her slavery, and awakens in the home of one of the Returners.

Locke helps rescue Terra from a cave in Narshe, defeating guards who wish to kill her. After they escape, they head to Figaro Castle.

Banon heads for Narshe along with Terra and Edgar in an attempt to persuade the town to join the Returners. While the mayor does not wish to oppose the empire, his stance quickly changes when Sabin appears and says that Doma was poisoned for taking a neutral stance. This causes Narshe to ally themselves with the Returners. Kefka and imperial guards attack the town, held off by some of the playable cast.
