Nero is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. He is a member of Tsviets, called "Nero the Sable" or "Nero, of the Pitchblack Darkness". His body is always covered in darkness, and his face is covered. The darkness Nero controls draws in everything, and it is possible for him to take them out of it. Along with his mask, his jacket binds his arms across his chest leaving them immobile. It is said that the restraint-like outfit he wears is to keep his power under control. Nero possesses mechanical wings, which he also uses to dual wield guns.

Nero is the younger brother of fellow Tsviets member, Weiss. He uses his power of darkness to take the lives of people. Nero later becomes "Arachnero" and is defeated by Vincent.

Nero appears (though his face is not shown) at the end of the game. He is a SOLDIER 1st class along with Weiss when they pick up the body of Genesis Rhapsodos and carry him away.
