Nora Estheim

Nora Estheim is a non-playable character and the mother of Hope Estheim in Final Fantasy XIII. At the beginning of the game, Snow Villiers, leading Team NORA, fights his way to the Purgees. When looking for volunteers, Nora agrees to join the fight. During the battle, however, Nora is fatally injured in an explosion. As the bridge collapses and both Snow and Nora are falling, Snow grabs her hand. Dangling from the edge, Snow is unable to hold onto Nora when she dies and she slips from his grasp. Nora's fall is witnessed by Hope, who subsequently blames Snow for involving his mother in battle and ultimately holds him responsible for her death.
