Odin is a reocurring summon in the Final Fantasy series. His attack is usually one that has a chance of causing instant death, and always appears with his horse Sleipnir.

Final Fantasy III
Odin is avaliable as a summon after the party defeats him in the Saronia Catacombs.
- Jobs: Evoker, Sage, Summoner
- White Summon: Shields the party from enemy attacks with a protective barrier
- Black Summon: Damages all enemies
- High Summon: Instantly KO's all enemies with the Zantezuken

Final Fantasy VI
Odin's magicite is found in the Ancient Castle in the World of Ruin. In a flashback sequence, Odin guards the castle during the War of the Magi. Odin is turned to stone, and when the party approaches he turns to magicite. Odin's attack in this game is called Atom Edge that causes instant death. Upon locating the petrified Queen of the Ancient Castle, Odin's magicite will upgrade to Raiden's magicite.
Level Bonus: Speed +1
MP Cost: 70
Special Move: Atom Edge (Zantetsuken)
- Description: Slices through enemies, if successful it will kill the enemy.

Final Fantasy VII

Odin's materia can be found in Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim. Odin's instant death attack in this game is called Steel Bladed Sword. For monsters immune to instant death, Odin will perform Gunge Lance which deals non-elemental damage.
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Odin will be added to the DMW after obtaining his materia. His attack in this game is called ‘’Zantetsuken’’, which removes all enemies from the battle.
Final Fantasy VIII
Odin is an uncontrollable Guardian Force in this game, appearing randomly at the beginning of a battle. He can be found in the Centra Ruins. After solving a puzzle and defeating him (in 20 minutes), he will join the party. His instant death attack in this game is called ‘’Zantetsuken’’. He can not be junctioned. The only time Odin will appear in a boss battle is at the end of Disc 3 in the boss fight with Seifer Almasy. However, Seifer will destroy him and he will be replaced with Gilgamesh.
Final Fantasy IX
Odin is originally Princess Garnet's Eidolon, but he is extracted by Queen Brahne and used to destroy Cleyra. Garnet can re-obtain Odin by using the Dark Matter item. Odin's instant death attack in this game is called Zantetsuken. However, if Garnet has the "Odin's Sword" ability equipped, he will deal damage to those enemies he does not instantly kill.
Final Fantasy XII
Odin is the name of an airship mentioned to belong to the Archadian army.
Final Fantasy XIII
Odin has been shown in the Final Fantasy XIII trailers to be Lightning's special Eidolon. In Gestaldt Mode, he transforms into his horse, Sleipnir.
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
Odin appears in Dissidia as both Auto and Manual summonstones. His Manual summon can be used by pressing

during battle.
