Paladins specialize in the use of close-range combat, but are also masters of White Magic allowing them to attack and heal. The Paladins are often considered tanks because of their high defense and shield mastery abilities.
The Paladin can make use of many attack and magic abilities that make them a useful member of any team. Many of their abilities create large amounts of enmity, drawing enemies nearer to them so they can follow up with powerful stunning attacks. Along with important close-range abilities the Paladin can also make use of White Magic to heal themself or allies. Paladins are also master of destroying the undead.

Unlocking
To unlock the Paladin you must complete the following quest:
You must be at level 30 to complete the quest. You can initiate the quest by talking to Balasiel in Southern San d'Oria.

| Invincible | Level 1 | 2 Hours | Grants the Paladin complete physical Immunity for 30 seconds, however you can still receive damage from magick and health inflicting statuses. |
| Holy Circle | Level 5 | 5 Minutes | Party Members within range get the effect of Holy Circle. When fighting Undead, their actions will randomly be interrupted and they will lose accuaracy for 30 seconds. You can extend this time by wearing Gallant Leggings. |
| Shield Bash | Level 15 | 5 Minutes | Bashed enemy with your held shield, inflicts Stun status and interupts spells. However, this ability will increase your enmity level greatly. The effect of the ability is increased when equipped with either Valor Gauntlets, Knightly Earrings, or Aegis Shield. |
| Sentinel | Level 30 | 5 Minutes | Grants a 90% reduction in the damage taken for 30 seconds, however over the course of this time the effect will wear out to 40% before ending. This ability will also raise enmity a fair bit. |
| Cover | Level 35 | 3 Minutes | Allows units standing directly behind the Paladin when the ability is activated to be immune from damage for 15 seconds. In this time all damage will go directly to the Paladin. The effect of the ability is increased when equipped with either Gallant Coronet or Valor Surcoat. This ability also enhances the power of the weapon Save the Queen. |
| Rampart | Level 62 | 5 Minutes | Increases the defense of all nearby allies for a 30 seconds, however it will create a large amount of enmity. |
| Fealty | Level 75 (Merit) | Max 20 Minutes | Grants increased resistence to enfeebling magick that causes status effects for 1 minute. Also slightly increases enmity. |
