Piscodaemon is a monster and a special Mark from Final Fantasy XII.

Petitioner: Ivaness (Mt Bur-Omisace/Temple Grounds)

Reward: 3800 gil, Dark Shot, Scathe Mote

Stats

1/2 Damage: Fire, Thunder, Ice, Earth, Water, Aero, Holy, Dark

Steal: Potion, Reflectga Mote, White Robe

Strategy

If you have Black Masks, equip them before the fight, and have Esuna and Dispel at the top of your gambits. Equip items that protect against Confuse and other status effects. Piscodaemon has some lesser enemies surrounding it. Try luring them away and fighting them first to avoid being overwhelmed. When you engage Piscodaemon, cast Dispel and Slow on it right away. It will cast dark-based magick, but if you have the Black Masks it’s not a problem. If not, cast Shell on your party members immediately to reduce the amount of damage taken. When Piscodaemon’s HP gets low, it will put up a physical paling, which makes it immune to physical attacks. Switch to casting your best magick and finish this mark.

Being a Nu Mou Male, fallen into dark, sorcerous Ways, and so banished by the Gran Kiltias Anastasis as Punishment for his (now its) Desire for ultimate Power in Giruvegan.

Yet the Strength of the Wards placed upon it failed with the passing of Anastasis, and its Power returned.

The Mark's Twin, living on Mt Bur-Omisace, petitioned the hunt for this creature.
