President Shinra

President Shinra is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy VII and the founder of the Shinra Company. He controls and has the final decision in all major moves. Cloud Strife and company first meet the President during their attempt at blowing up Sector 5’s Mako Reactor. Anticipating their arrival, he unleashes Air Buster on them and escapes. President Shinra is later seen in the company’s executive meeting saying that he will not rebuild Sector 7 against Reeve’s wishes.
When the party is captured inside Shinra HQ, they are taken to the President who orders them to be detained. After the party escapes, they follow a blood trail up to the President’s office to find him dead. He has been impailed by the Masamune, and his murderer is confirmed to be Sephiroth. His son Rufus Shinra assumes presidency after his death.
