Raine Loire is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy VIII. The owner of an inn in Winhill, she nursed an injured Laguna Loire back to health. She lived with Ellone who grows fond of Laguna. Laguna and Raine grew close and, while Laguna was away searching for Ellone after her kidnapping, Raine died giving birth to a son, Squall.
