Rosso is a non-playable character, and one of the main antagonists, from Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.

As a member of the Tsviets, Rosso was born into Deepground, and as a result has a pension for violence and blood, as well as an intimidating Russian accent. She has also never seen the outside world, being kept underground in secret. She is introduced in the city of Edge where she comes by Vincent Valentine. However, when Chaos is unleashed, she is no match for him. Once Vincent is gone, Rosso stands in the rain for the first time, quoting and admiring Weiss’ worldwide threat.

While in the Shinra Mansion, Vincent battles her for the first time, but Rosso manages to extract the Protomateria from his body. She readies to kill him, but Yuffie Kisaragi intervenes to save Vincent.

Rosso appears once again in Midgar during the WRO’s ground assault, led by members of AVALANCHE. She battles with Cloud Strife, though both survive the battle to appear later in the game.

Vincent encounters Rosso once again inside the old Shinra building, where Rosso displays her incredible speed and agility during the second boss fight. She is greatly wounded from the fight, and she limps back onto a platform hanging over the city. She slices through the concrete, claiming that Vincent wouldn’t know the “pleasure of killing Rosso the Crimson”, and laughs as she falls to her demise.
