Sazh Katzroy is one of the main playable protagonists in Final Fantasy XIII. Sazh is black, marking the first playable black character since Barret Wallace in Final Fantasy VII. He has a baby chocobo that he keeps in his afro, belonging to his six-year old son Dajh. He wields dual pistols in battle, and uses an original summon named Brynhildr.

Jihl Nabaat reveals that Sazh's son will have a better life as a Crystal.

Sazh's main roles are Ravager, Commando and Synergist.

His weapons of choice are a pair of Pistols (FFXIII).
