Seto is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy VII. He is the father of Red XIII, and at the beginning of the game, Red XIII hates him for abandoning the tribe in time of war. When the party visits Cosmo Canyon, Bugenhagen (Red XIII's adoptive father) overhears Red XIII verbalizing his digust of Seto. Bugenhagen then takes Red XIII through the Cave of the Gi and tells him a story of a brave warrior. On the other side of the cave, Bugenhagen shows Red XIII his petrified father atop a cliff. Seto fought the Gi tribe alone and succumbed to their poisoned arrows, turning to stone. After seeing his father, Red XIII is proud to call himself the son of Seto.
