Shelinda is a non-playable character in the Final Fantasy X series. She is a sweet-natured woman who always comes to the aid of others.

Shelinda is an acolyte working for Yevon. She is first seen on the Mi'ihen Highroad trying to talk the Crusaders out of using machina in their upcoming opperation. Before Operation Mi'ihen, she tells the party she's going to help the Crusaders with their attempt to defeat Sin. When the Crusaders fail, Shelinda spends most of her time healing the wounded and tending to the dead. She'll also heal the party if asked, and says she's going to Bevelle to become a nun.

Shelinda goes to Guadosalam to speak to the Guado and to rest. On the Thunder Plains she is rejoicing about Seymour and Yuna's wedding, depending on what Tidus tells her. In Macalania she is celebrating with the rest of the Yevonites.

When Yuna returns to Bevelle, Shelinda stops the warrior monks from arresting her. After Kinoc's death, she is made captain of the guard even though she lacks any fighting knowledge. Shelinda then goes around Spira telling everyone she meets about Tidus's plan to defeat Sin at his request. She is seen staring up at the sky when Sin falls.

Shelinda originally planned to help rebuild the temples for New Yevon, but left because she was tired of being bossed around by the monks and nuns. She traveled to Luca and became a reporter for the Sphere Network because they asked her. She spends her time interviewing important people in Luca and as a commentator (replacing Jimma and Bobba) for major events in the city.

Shelinda and Yuna have similar personalities; they both help people when asked, no matter how inconvinient the task is. Her clothing has not changed, even though she's left the temples for good.
