Terra is a world in Final Fantasy IX inhabited by Genomes. Some remnants of Terra exist on Gaia when Garland attempted to merge the two worlds long ago. The only transportation between the worlds is Shimmering Island, and the portal can only be opened by simultaneously activating the four shrines located around Gaia.
