Vossler York Azelas is a guest character from Final Fantasy XII. Vossler is a former captain of the Dalmascan army, akin to Basch, that has dedicated himself to fighting with the Resistance against Archadia. Vossler fought with Basch in the attack on Nalbina Fortress, and was tricked into believing that Basch was responsible for the death of King Raminas. After the incident, Vossler joined the Resistance with Ashe.

Vossler is later reunited with Basch after he breaks free from prison. Though he remains somewhat skeptical of his former friend, but Basch eventually earns his trust back. The party meets Vossler once again on The Leviathan where they rescue Ashe. They meet him once again in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea, and Vossler tags along to protect Ashe. The party is then captured and find themselves aboard The Leviathan once again. Vossler reveals his loyalty to the Archadian Army, and a boss battle ensues. When he is defeated, the party escapes, only to find him yet again when they are on board The Shiva. While the airship is sinking, Vossler charges Basch with the sole duty of protecting the princess, and dies along with the ship.

Strategy

Oh Vossler. Well, get rid of the extras first so you can focus on Vossler. You can use a Quickening when they're all together to defeat them immediately and do some damage to Vossler. Fran is still in Berserk mode, so she'll relentlessly attack Vossler and crew. If she was your healer, you'll have to switch to someone else for this battle. You'll be able to use Magick spells at first, but eventually Vossler will cast Reflect and Haste on himself. He'll fight fast and with combo attacks, and you'll have to rely on your physical attacks to defeat him. Vossler gets faster and stronger as his HP drops, but you should still be able to defeat him with your six party members, and you'll eventually defeat him.
