Wakka is one of the main protaganists of Final Fantasy X.

Final Fantasy X
Wakka is the captain of the Besaid Aurochs, who haven’t won a blitzball game in ten years. But he's optimistic getting Tidus to join the team as soon as they meet. He grew up with Yuna in Besaid, and was something of a big brother to her. He became her guardian when she decides to be a summoner. Wakka has a big mouth, and hates Al Bhed with a passion. He is also an avid follower of Yevon.
Tidus reminds Wakka of his deceased brother Chappu, who died fighting Sin, prompting Wakka to give Brotherhood, the sword that once belonged to Chappu, to Tidus. During the journey, Wakka learns that Rikku is an Al Bhed, and also of the misgivings of Yevon, leading him to realize his hatred for the Al Bhed is misplaced.
Blitzball
Although Wakka begins the game as the captain of the Aurochs, after his retirement, he becomes a free agent. He can only be recruited from the airship for a mere 1 gil per match.

Final Fantasy X-2
Wakka and Lulu have wed in the time between games and are expecting a baby. Wakka expresses throughout the game his uncertainty in becoming a father, having lacked a role-model. After Beclem gives Wakka a sphere made by Chappu, Wakka's worries about fatherhood dissipate. Wakka and Lulu name their son Vidina, which is the Al Bhed word for "future".

Kingdom Hearts
A younger Wakka trains with Tidus and Sora on the Destiny Islands. He and Tidus are creating a game that sounds strikingly similar to blitzball. He is the first to pronounce Tidus's name (TEE-dus), confusing fans who have heard Selphie's pronunciation.

Wakka returns as a figment of Sora's memories, teasing him about Namine.
