Yunalesca

Yunalesca is a non-playable character from the Final Fantasy X series. Yunalesca is an Unsent that resides in Zanarkand as the only means to obtain the Final Aeon.

[edit] Final Fantasy X

Upon reaching Zanarkand, the party learns that Yunalesca was the first summoner in history, and her husband, Zaon, became an aeon so she could defeat Sin. After Braska defeated Sin, Auron, distraught over the loss of his friends, attacked Yunalesca. She deflected his attack and subsequently ended his life. Yunalesca is fought and defeated by the party when Yuna refuses to sacrifice a guardian for the Final Aeon.

Yunalesca is encountered as a boss in the dome of the Zanarkand Ruins. She is fought in four forms.

*When Yunalesca enters a new form, her max HP changes. She only drops items after her third form is defeated.

[edit] Strategy

Have Yuna and Lulu learn Holy magic. Equip either one of them with a weapon with 1 mp cost. Have them blast Yunalesca with Holy and summon any aeons with a full Overdrive and use them IMMEDIATELY after summoning (she casts curse). Have someone in Zombie status when Yunalesca goes into her final form, because the final form casts Megadeath and Zombie or deathproof can counteract it.
