[edit] Strategy

Feral Retriever will use an area attack that can petrify your entire party and also casts Sleep. Use equipment that protects against these status ailments. Place Esuna as your top gambit for your main healer. Use your regular method of attack, and when Feral Retriever's HP gets low, it will cast Balance. Finish it off quickly with a Quickening if you have it available because with Balance in play, its attacks can get deadly.
